1. Integrated Cultivation and Imaging
The environmental control system and optical imaging system share the same experimental space. It can automatically complete cultivation, dark adaptation, environmental treatment and image acquisition according to preset schedules, reducing environmental fluctuations and mechanical interferences caused by sample transfer.
2. Top‑Mounted Optical Imaging Module
Equipped with a scientific‑grade cooled camera and an electric lens on the top, it performs top‑view imaging for bioluminescence and multi‑band fluorescence signals of whole plants, leaves and samples in petri dishes.
The motorized lifting mechanism adjusts the imaging field‑of‑view according to plant height and canopy area.
3. Lateral Optical Imaging Module
The lateral cooled camera paired with an auto‑focus lens records plant height, stem morphology, leaf angle and optical signal distribution from the side, compensating for insufficient vertical‑growth information obtained solely from top‑view imaging.
4. Rotating Sample Stage
The programmable rotating platform captures plant images from diverse perspectives to observe leaf‑occluded structures and build multi‑view phenotypic datasets. Rotation angles and acquisition intervals can be linked to imaging routines.
5. Dual‑Circulation Temperature & Humidity Control
Independent heating, refrigeration, humidification and dehumidification modules combined with dual‑circulation air ducts regulate internal temperature and humidity of the workstation and minimize spatial gradients, delivering relatively homogeneous environmental conditions for long‑term experiments.
6. Multi‑Channel Daylight Simulation
LED channels including blue, green, red, far‑red and white light are independently controllable to set light intensity, photoperiod and spectral ratio, simulating natural diurnal cycles or specific light‑quality treatments.
7. Multi‑Gas Regulation Module
Optional control channels for CO₂, O₂, ethylene and other gases. Flow adjustment and concentration monitoring enable simulation of environments such as elevated CO₂, hypoxia and ethylene exposure.
8. Large‑Capacity Plant Experimental Chamber
The large insulated chamber accommodates multiple potted plants or tall specimens. Double‑door design and adjustable sample space facilitate plant loading, treatment and equipment maintenance while mitigating disturbances to environmental stability during door‑opening operations.
9. Long‑Term Automated Experiments
The software centrally configures schedules for temperature, humidity, illumination, gas parameters and imaging. It automatically runs complex experimental protocols lasting from several hours to weeks, logging every environmental change and image‑acquisition event.
10. Multi‑Dimensional Data Analysis
Supports management of top‑view and lateral images, quantification of bioluminescence and fluorescence, measurement of plant height and projected area, time‑series curve plotting, and correlation analysis with environmental datasets.
